Eric Notter

Eric Notter is the Executive Chef at Benders Tavern in Canton, Ohio, bringing over 30 years of culinary expertise to the region. A Canton native, Eric was inspired early by Julia Child, his mother, and grandmothers, beginning his journey in a local bakeshop and winning blue ribbons at county fair baking contests by the age of eight.

A graduate of Jackson High School’s Vocational Restaurant Management program and the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Eric has held positions at acclaimed establishments including the Strathallan Hotel in New York, Café L’Europe in Palm Beach, and Marriott Hotels. He served as Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director at Lebanon Country Club for over a decade.

Eric is a longtime member of the American Culinary Federation and has earned numerous accolades, including first-place awards in the Hershey Partnership Soup Cook-Off and the national Grey Poupon Cooking Competition. His work has been featured in Club & Resort Business Magazine and Susquehanna Style.

Committed to community service, Eric has served as President of the Cleona Borough Council and led heart-healthy cooking demos for over a decade in partnership with the American Heart Association.
